2005 Henneberg Pinot Noir •
The fruit for the 2005 Henneberg Vineyard Pinot comes from the 14 acre Pinot Noir vineyard of our neighbors Matt and Jeannie Henneberg. The grapes were harvested September 28th. The fruit was cold soaked for three days to increase extraction of varietal fruit flavors and aroma. The grapes were gently pressed after completing fermentation and placed in French Oak barrels. This is the first year we have produced a vineyard designated Henneberg Pinot Noir. Previously the grapes from this vineyard were used in our Anderson Valley blend.
The 2005 Henneberg Pinot has bright pure fruit flavors of cherries, raspberries, pomegranates, rhubarb and cola all coming together with a long spicy finish.
